Komets Edge Icemen 2-1 in Exhibition Finale
In their final tuneup before opening the regular season, the Fort Wayne Komets beat Evansville 2-1 in overtime in exhibition ECHL hockey at Memorial Coliseum on Sunday. Daniel Maggio netted the winner in the OT as Matt Firman scored the other Komet goal. Opening night will be Friday in an 8:00 faceoff at the Coliseum as the Komets host the Kalamazoo Wings in their first-ever ECHL contest.
