The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office said Friday all five were charged with two robbery counts and three burglary counts in the break-in at a South Bend home about 10 p.m. Thursday.

A witness told police the men, one armed with a gun and another with a knife, broke in the house and demanded money. Four of the people in the home were cut, including a child, and another child was struck with a blunt instrument.

The couple that lives in the house were hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
