Today, police busted 20-year-old Devonte Hamlet, of Fort Wayne in connection with a reported robbery on January 10^th at the Island Club Apartment Complex on Gulf Drive.

A female resident had reported being followed into her apartment and forced inside at gunpoint by two males. They then tied her hands and took several items before running.

Hamlet was taken to the Allen County Jail on two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, and three counts of criminal confinement.

This is one of several robbery investigations that have occurred recently in apartment communities. The Fort Wayne Police Department continues to investigate these incidents and still encourage residents to remain cautious.
