Tree-Killing Beetle Now Found in 59 Indiana Counties

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says the emerald ash borer has been detected in Vigo County, on the Indiana State University campus in Terre Haute, and in southern Indiana's Martin County. The beetle, which was first detected in Indiana in 2004, has spread largely through the movement of firewood in campgrounds and is known for killing ash trees.print
