Crews remove crashed jet's fuselage from South Bend home...
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) _ Crews have removed the fuselage of a private jet that crashed into a three homes near the South Bend Regional Airport.
WSBT-TV reports a crane lifted a huge section of the plane off a house and onto a flatbed truck about 11 a.m. Tuesday. The truck headed to the airport about noon.
National Transportation Safety Board spokesman Keith Holloway says the wreckage was being taken to a hangar or storage facility so investigators can comb through it.
The plane originating from Tulsa, Okla., crashed into three homes Sunday, killing former Oklahoma quarterback Steve Davis and his friend, Wes Caves. Davis and Caves were the jet's flight crew.
Two passengers remain hospitalized.
A woman residing in one of the damaged homes, Diana McKeown, also is hospitalized.
