TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) - The founder of a military history museum in western Indiana says it has doubled in size since opening last year as more veterans have donated uniforms and other memorabilia.
The Veterans Memorial Museum of Terre Haute opened on Veterans Day 2012 in downtown Terre Haute.
Founder Brian Mundell tells the Tribune-Star that a second room was opened up to display some of the more than 200 military items that have been donated since then.
One newer display shows uniforms and medals that belonged to three generations of a family from men who served in World War I, World War II and the Vietnam War. The museum's displays also include various equipment, maps, banners, photographs and old newspapers.
