INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Last week, two diametrically opposed Indiana politicians found themselves doing the same dance with the federal government. Democratic Schools Superintendent Glenda Ritz filed a request Monday with the U.S. Department of Education to grant the state a waiver from the federal No Child Left Behind Act. The next day, Republican Gov. Mike Pence filed a request with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to use a state-run alternative to traditional Medicaid to expand health care for the state's poor.
