GORE BLAMES OBAMA'S LOSS ON THE ALTITUDE

Al Gore has come up with the most creative answer as to why Obama was crushed in the debate last night with Romney: Obama didn't arrive in Denver until 2 pm the day of the debate, whereas Romney was there earlier so Obama was not adjusted to the altitude.

Well, Diane and I just spent a week with our son & his family in Denver. I noticed the same thing. The first night I couldn't look them in the eyes, changed color multiple times, stumbled over words, grimaced a lot, and just couldn't focus. More importantly, I kept accusing Nathan of requesting 5 trillion dollars from us. So I agree with Al Gore. I am certain Obama lost the debate, not because of his ideas, but because of the altitude.

As a Republican, what has me most excited is that Romney has closed the gap and now, if he can win the final debate on foreign policy, will likely win the election. The momentum is his. Ryan needs to survive the debate with Biden, which is not as easy as it sounds, and Obama - at least the media will claim - will "win" the second debate because he will have "improved so much" and no longer "looks like he doesn't care." Obama will be "engaged" and "up for the battle." And, of course, future debates will be at lower altitudes.

But while I earlier said on Charly Butcher's show and Pat Miller's post-debate program that at least 40 million people watched the debate, it now appears that over 60 million people watched. Those who watched, with little control by the usual snarky liberal media panel, got to watch the candidates themselves. And the back & forth wasn't on a teleprompter. And, wow, did the President get schooled.

Almost as enjoyable was to watch Chris Matthews melt down. No tinkle down his leg last night as Obama spoke. Why, that man let us do, Matthews howled. He needs to watch me, Rachel Madow and Al Sharpton! We explain things. He should skip the rest of those bothersome intelligence briefings and watch MSNBC! Yeah right, it is never the issues to the liberals.

As for Romney, he was firm with the President. Wouldn't let Jim Lehrer let the President go over on time or always have the last word. He challenged the President on facts, and repeated the challenges. He explained conservatism more than is usual in a Presidential campaign, including even the principle of state's rights. Obama thought John McCain was going to show up. He was just stunned: how dare anyone challenge him. Surrender, bowing down, that is what you do after he "corrects" you.

Game on could turn into game over in the foreign policy debate which is in Boca Raton, Florida which could be a problem for President Obama.since it is only 23 feet above sea level which nearly 400 feet below Washington DC! Just another Republican trick to foil the President's great debating skills.
