LEBANON, Ind. (AP) _ A jury has begun deliberations in the third murder trial of a former Indiana State Police trooper accused of fatally shooting his wife and two young children in 2000 at the family's southern Indiana home.
Before jurors began deliberating the fate of David Camm on Tuesday, defense attorney Stacy Uliana told them the state initially missed the real killer because it concluded wrongly three days after the slayings that Camm had committed the crimes.
Prosecutor Todd Meyer, meanwhile, told jurors in his closing argument they must ``connect the dots'' from evidence they've heard to convict Camm.
The jury deliberated for about an hour Tuesday before breaking for the evening. Deliberations are to resume Wednesday.
Camm's two prior convictions were thrown out on appeal.
