EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP): A state commission is scheduled to vote on whether to spend $2 million on planning for Indiana University's proposed new medical school campus in downtown Evansville. The Indiana Commission for Higher Education meets Thursday in Evansville. The Evansville Courier & Press reports the $2 million is already allocated in the state budget. University officials have said they plan to seek money for construction of the new $70 million medical school campus during next year's legislative session.
