BRISTOL, Ind. (WOWO): A food manufacturer plans to create 74 new jobs in Elkhart County by 2017.
Monogram Foods announced plans Wednesday to grow production and invest $5.3 million in its Bristol facility. The money will be used to renovate and equip the 104,000-square-foot facility, according to the Indiana Governor’s Office.
The Tennessee-based company will add a new mini corn dog production line and install new equipment for batter, breading, frying, freezing and packaging.
Monogram Foods already employs more than 350 Hoosiers as part of its team of 2,600 employees across America.
“As a national company with locations across the country, Monogram Foods had choices on where to locate these new jobs, and after considering its options this company keeps choosing Indiana,” said Governor Mike Pence. “Today’s news marks the second time in the last year that Monogram Foods has committed to adding new jobs in Indiana.”
Last summer, the company announced it was planning to invest $13 million into its Bristol branch and add 75 jobs.
Monogram Foods is currently hiring first and second shift positions. Anyone interested can apply online or by attending career fairs.
