Man hospitalized in mid-March Fort Wayne shooting dies

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man has died from wounds suffered during a shooting last week.

28 year old Brandon Lamar Phillips was hospitalized since Thursday, March 17th following a shooting near Bowser Avenue and Oliver Street. The coroner’s office has ruled his death as a homicide.

Phillips was found inside a crashed car and was in critical condition following the shooting. Another man went to the hospital in serious condition, but it’s unknown what his status is.

No word on if any arrests have been made. It’s the 6th homicide in Fort Wayne and Allen County this year.
