FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): There seems to be no opposition to the next budget for Fort Wayne Community Schools.

Nobody spoke against the $289 million spending plan at a public hearing Monday night, according to the Journal Gazette.

The next year’s budget goes up 1.5 percent, thanks to a bond referendum that was approved in May by voters that allows for updates at almost four dozen FWCS schools and facilities.

The bond will mean an extra $11.50 for a homeowner with a property worth $100,000, should the budget be approved during a meeting set for two weeks from now.
