FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Mad Ants aren’t going anywhere.

In a speech to the Fort Wayne Rotary Club this week, Indiana Pacers President Rick Fuson promised that the Pacers are keeping their NBA D-League affiliate in the Summit City, according to the Journal Gazette.

However, he did add he’d like to see Mayor Tom Henry’s proposed downtown arena come to fruition, as he thinks that would be the perfect home for the team. There had been rumors the team was moving to Carmel.

The Mad Ants begin their 10th season this year on the road, in Greensboro, North Carolina on Friday.
