BMV Offices to Close Statewide for King Holiday

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles offices throughout the state will be closed two days in observance of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

BMV Commissioner Don Snemis announced Monday that the BMV offices will be closed Saturday and Monday in observance of the holiday for the slain civil rights leader. Most license branches will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, except for those that operate on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule.

The Indiana Civil Rights Commission says this will be the 23rd year the state has commemorated the King holiday.
