FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP): A 32-year-old former high school teacher has admitted to having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female.
Former New Haven High School math teacher Troy Guenin pleaded guilty Friday to one count of child seduction and one count of dissemination of harmful material as part of a plea deal.
Four other charges against him will be dismissed when he is sentenced on Aug. 26.
The deal calls for him to be sentenced to six years in prison, with four years to be served and two years to be suspended. The deal also calls for him to serve three years on probation.
Guenin was a 2014 teacher of the year in the East Allen County Schools.
