ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was hit and killed on Tonkel Road Saturday evening.
Just after 8:30 P.M. officers from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department went to the scene of a collision involving a pedestrian and an SUV on Tonkel Road, north of Cedar Springs Blvd.
Initial reports suggest that the SUV, traveling southbound, collided with the pedestrian as they attempted to cross the road. The pedestrian, an adult male, succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while the SUV driver, an adult female, was unharmed.
The incident remains under investigation.
