FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne ranked poorly on a comparison of the 100 largest cities in the US that ranks recreation offerings.

Fort Wayne came in as the 8th-worst city for recreation, according to WalletHub. The same group ranked Fort Wayne 11th-worst in the U.S. last year.

The Summit City got low scores on categories like music venues per capita, the percentage of parkland within the city, and the amount of park access within walking distance for residents.

That’s despite Fort Wayne being in the middle of a $25-million riverfront park project, and having a trail system that’s earned praise from many.
