Greater Fort Wayne promoting “Small Business Saturday”

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Yesterday was Black Friday. Monday is Cyber Monday. But today?

Today is Small Business Saturday, an effort to get people to shop local for the holiday season.

Greater Fort Wayne is championing an eclectic group of local businesses for this year’s effort, ranging from nail and skin care to fine chocolates, from clothing to fitness, and from tires to tech. You can find the full list of local businesses participating here.

Small Business Saturday was organized nine years ago by American Express, and since 2009 shoppers have spent $85-billion at small businesses nationwide in honor of the day.
