FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Allen County residents wanting to pay their respects and pray for the Orlando victims have a chance to do so on Wednesday.
Associated Churches will host an interfaith prayer vigil at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Headwaters Park, 303 S. Clinton St. The vigil will be at the Lincoln Financial Pavillion.
“There are many differences of belief, opinion, and practice among our community’s diverse religious traditions,” said the Rev. Dr. Terry Anderson, executive director of Just Neighbors Interfaith Homeless Network. “There are also core values we hold in common. People of faith are uniformly horrified by crimes of hate and violence.”
On Sunday morning, a man shot and killed 49 people in an Orlando nightclub in the deadliest mass shooting in the United State’s history.
