Stutzman Complimentary Despite Rocky Relationship with Boehner

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Congressman Marlin Stutzman remained complimentary about John Boehner Friday despite past clashes with the House Speaker.

Stutzman says that we have to remember that Boehner was a rank-and-file member of the House who was “just working hard to serve his constituents and promote his own policy initiatives”. Stutzman notes how hard Boehner worked in education and agriculture.

The 3rd District Congressman voted against Boehner as Speaker in January. He had previously accused Boehner and Republican leadership of duping him into voting for an omnibus spending bill during the lame duck session last year.

Stutzman was also dropped from the House Republican whip team for voting against the farm bill in 2013 and pressing Republicans to split the food stamp program (now known as SNAP) away from the Farm bill.
