PAULDING COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Police in Van Wert are currently investigating a fatal vehicle crash that happened just before 7:30 Thursday night on State Route 49 in Paulding County.

20-year-old Kimberly Staudt was driving southbound on State Route 49 when her vehicle drifted off the right side of the road. She then over-corrected, and ended up striking a utility pole.

A passenger in Staudt's car, 20-year-old Manuel Robles Jr., was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Staudt and another passenger, 26-year-old Anna Penny, sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.
