Victim Named in Reed Street Shooting

Police have identified the victim of this morning’s shooting as 49-year-old Jacqueline Hardy.  She was gunned down this morning after getting off of a CitiLink bus at near Reed and Pettit Streets.

Police attempted to track the suspect but a K-9 lost the scent and the trail went cold.

Police now believe that suspect is held up in a home in the 3000 block of Holton Avenue near Colerick where he may be holding a 3-year-old hostage.

Officers have the area surrounded and are attempting to negotiate with the man inside. In the meantime, students in some nearby schools are being held at their school until they can be picked up by their parents.
