Saturday afternoon State Police got a call to the crash on SR 17. Ralph Ward was driving, lost control of the car and slid off the north side of SR 17 hitting a utility pole on the passenger side rear door.

Ward was not injured in the crash, but front seat passenger, Caroline Ward, 70, of Culver, sustained injuries and was taken to the Hospital in Plymouth.

Rear seat passenger Linda Ward, 46, also of Culver, sustained a severe head injury in the accident. She was transported to the Hospital were she was pronounced dead.
