Free income tax preparation offered

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Families can get free federal and Indiana income tax preparation now through April 10.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Tax program gives families with incomes under $54,000 free filing services. The program is a partnership of Volunteer Center and United Way of Allen County.

There are two locations with IRS certified volunteers: the American Red Cross at 1212 California Road and the St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 1101 S. Lafayette Street. The Red Cross location will provide the service on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. St. Mary’s will have assistance on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2-8 p.m.

I need serious tax prep help I do not know how to do the taxes. Will loose everything without tax assistance.
