FWCS Loses More Students to Voucher Program

Fort Wayne Community Schools has lost more than 500 additional students to private schools, bringing the total number of students from the district to 1,165, to use state-paid vouchers.  In a report from the Journal Gazette… Fort Wayne Community Schools spokesperson Krista Stockman said the numbers were no surprise, and that the district has been closely tracking student retention since the voucher program began and that the Fort Wayne Community Schools will lose nearly $7 million in state funding.
