Hoosiers Advised to Take Care While Swimming

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): State health officials are urging people to be careful as they head for Indiana’s lakes and other bodies of water for summer recreation. The Indiana State Department of Health this week issued a list of health warnings for swimmers and others as Memorial Day weekend kicks off the summer swimming season. Each year, thousands of Americans get sick from germs or injured in places where they swim. In Indiana, there were 62 deaths from drowning or submersion in 2010.
