One hurt in shooting outside funeral service

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man was wounded after a shooting outside a funeral service Saturday afternoon.

It happened outside the True Love Baptist Church on Wallace Street at 12:40pm. The Journal Gazette reports the man was standing in the church’s parking lot when he was shot in the leg. He refused to go to a hospital, according to first responders.

A car was also damaged in the shooting. None of the 500 or so other attendees were injured.

It’s unclear if the shooter was driving by the scene, or was on foot.
