Two Arrested After Shots-Fired Call Leads to Drug Bust in Marshall County

BREMEN, IND. (WOWO) Two people were arrested on drug charges in Marshall County, Indiana, after officers responded to a report of shots fired on Monday afternoon. Police were called to a residence in the 13000 block of 4th Road in Bremen after a report that a woman had been shot at.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, responding deputies determined that no one had been shot. Officers searched the area and located 49-year-old William Neiswender and 43-year-old Rhonda Harrington in an RV behind the home.

During the search, deputies reported finding a shotgun, methamphetamine, cocaine, suspected fentanyl, marijuana, and multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia. The sheriff’s office stated that the items were recovered as part of the investigation following the shots-fired call according to WNDU.

In a release, police said they were initially responding to a threat report. “Deputies arrived on scene to investigate a report of a woman being shot at,” the statement said, adding that no injuries were discovered.

Both Neiswender and Harrington were taken into custody on multiple drug-related charges. The investigation remains ongoing.
