Driver Pulled from Submerged Vehicle in Big Bower Lake

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Just after 3:30 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the report of a vehicle that was driven into Big Bower Lake. Reportedly, the vehicle was south bound on Golden Lake Road near 325 West.

Emergency crews arrived to the scene to find a partially submerged vehicle, and entered the water in an attempt to locate the driver.

After breaking through one of the vehicle's windows, crews successfully located and removed the driver. The victim was airlifted to the hospital.

The name of the driver is not being released at this time and their condition is unknown.
