INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): The State Board of Education is set to decide on a new formula for Indiana's A-F school grades.
 
       The board will consider Wednesday a series of changes recommended by a bipartisan panel established after the grade-changing scandal that cost former state schools Superintendent Tony Bennett his new job in Florida. The committee, co-chaired by Dr. Steven Yager, superintendent of Southwest Allen County Schools, recommended the new formula change how students' test improvements are factored into the school grades.
 
       Those school grades have recently taken on greater importance as part of a broad education overhaul. They are used in part to determine teacher pay, school funding, and takeover status.
 
       They are also the focus of continuing political drama. A judge recently dismissed a lawsuit Democratic schools Superintendent Glenda Ritz filed against other education board members over calculation of the grades.
