2 Found Dead from Southern Indiana House Fire

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (AP) – Authorities say two people have been found dead after a southern Indiana house fire.

Clarksville Fire Chief Tom Upton says firefighters found the two adults inside the burning home early Wednesday.

Upton tells The News and Tribune that firefighters went to the area about 5:30 a.m. on a report of smoke about four blocks away. Crews didn't find the fire until driving around and spotting flames coming from the side of the house in the town just north of Louisville.

Upton says crews didn't immediately know what started the fire. Indiana fire marshal's office officials are involved in the investigation.
