FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One person is in critical condition after a single-vehicle crash Friday afternoon.

According to police, crews got the call to the crash near the I-469/I-69 interchange at 3:52 p.m., Friday. Once officers arrived to the scene they found a man in critical condition. He was taken to the hospital where he currently remains in critical condition.

Initial reports indicate that the man was driving a motorcycle westbound on I-469 and as he entered the ramp to go southbound on I-69, he left the roadway and came to a stop on the side of an embankment. As of right now, it's unknown what caused the driver to leave the roadway.

Meanwhile, the incident remains under investigation.
