Old Citilink Station Heading to Auction

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The vacant Citilink bus transfer station in downtown could see new life.

When the new station opened a few years ago at Calhoun and Baker Streets it left the Superior Street empty.

In February, Citilink will put the property up for auction.

According to a News-Sentinel report, a would-be owner has to contend with some federal regulations and some red-tape.

The article speculated it could be a prime spot development because its just a few blocks way from headwaters park.

Citilink says they've working for two years to get the site prepared according to federal standards.
