HAMMOND, Ind. (AP) _ A northwestern Indiana town has settled a lawsuit filed by a woman who accused police officers of using excessive force, violating her rights and wrongly arresting her in 2010.
 
  The Times of Munster reports 58-year-old Colleen Conn Wood of Lake Station sued Merrillville, its police department and three officers last May.
 
  She alleged that after she called police seeking to remove the daughter of a tenant from her property, the officers returned and told her cut tree limbs on her property violated an ordinance.
 
  Conn Wood says the officers grabbed her, shoved her onto the hood of her truck and handcuffed her. She was arrested and charged with resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct, but those charges were dismissed in 2012.
 
  The settlement details were not disclosed.
