Indiana Conservation Officers Investigate Vehicle in Water

BROOKVILLE, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an incident where a pickup truck slid down a boat ramp into the Brookville Reservoir.

Allen Sprunger, of Berne, was unloading his boat from the trailer while his fishing partner Roy Thorton, also of Berne, was driving the truck. Thorton stated as the boat slid from the trailer he put the truck into drive and gave it gas. That’s when he said the rear tires started to slip.

Sprunger docked his boat and came to the truck to try and help, but the truck started to slowly slip down the ramp into the lake.

The truck finally came to a stop with most of the engine still out of the water. Neither Sprunger nor Thorton were injured.
