Thieves Crash Stolen Minivan into Gun Store

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Police say a stolen minivan was used to smash in the front door of an Indianapolis gun shop as thieves tried to steal weapons.

Officers were called about 1 a.m. Monday to the L.E. Firearms store in a neighborhood on the city's south side, where the van had been driven over the sidewalk and into the entrance.

Police tell WTHR-TV (http://bit.ly/1vvwHkO ) that several people involved tried to flee, possibly in other vehicles. Officers used police dogs help to track down five people who were taken into custody. Officers were searching for others who might have been involved.
