Man Gets 111 Years for SW Indiana Murder, Rape

BLOOMFIELD, Ind. (AP) _ A judge has sentenced a southwestern Indiana man to 111 years in prison for fatally shooting a man outside a rural southwestern Indiana home and then raping a woman inside the home.

The Greene County Daily World and WTHI report Jason Lee Caldwell of Solsberry was sentenced Wednesday for the murder of David Lamm near the town of Newark in July and the rape of the surviving victim. Lamm pleaded guilty to the charges last month.

A woman who was found naked and bound with rope and duct tape told police that Caldwell had raped her at gunpoint after the shooting about 15 miles west of Bloomington.

Caldwell was arrested in an Indianapolis motel two days after the attacks.
