FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): You might want to keep an eye on your credit card account.

Fort Wayne Police announced on social media Tuesday they had found “skimmers” on several local gas pumps. The devices, placed over or inside a card reader, read a person’s credit card info, store it, and send it to thieves.

This particular one was apparently undetectable and only found when the pump needed repairs, and police have not identified which gas stations this happened at. The skimmer was collected and the FBI is investigating.

Police say the only way to protect yourself from such attacks is to just closely watch your account activity.
