76-year-old man arrested after Fort Wayne drug raid

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A 76-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after police say they found morphine tablets and cash during a drug raid.

Joseph Winston was arrested on two preliminary charges of dealing a narcotic substance and one preliminary charge of maintaining a common nuisance.

The Fort Wayne Police Department and Narcotic Division served a search warrant in the 8000 block of Westwick Place in Fort Wayne. During the raid, police found 46 morphine tablets of difference doses and $1,788 in cash.

Two adults were inside the house during the raid, but only Winston was arrested.

Police say the investigation is closed and police don’t expect to make more arrests.
