Fort Wayne man accused of murder

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man is accused of shooting a man to death earlier this month.

A warrant has been issued for 20-year-old Daquavion Johnson. He was charged with murder, carrying a handgun without a license and firearm used in commission of offense in Allen Superior Court on Friday, according to the News-Sentinel.

Johnson is accused of killing 19-year-old Leon-Dre Kyles-Thomas.

Police were called to the 1300 block of Greene Street shortly after noon on Saturday, Aug. 13. When officers arrived, they found Kyles-Thomas suffering from a gunshot to the chest. He was hospitalized in critical condition and later died.

He’s the 22nd homicide victim in Allen County this year.
