Mayor Tom Henry is released from hospital following heart surgery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Mayor Tom Henry has been released from the hospital.

Henry is recovering from heart bypass surgery he had on Monday, Nov. 7. He is resting comfortably at home, according to the city of Fort Wayne. 

He will work from home for the next several days. He will return to regular work soon.

His family would like to “thank the residents of Fort Wayne for their prayers and words of encouragement.”

Karl Bandemer is filling in as deputy mayor.
