City of Fort Wayne adds leaf pick-up days

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The city of Fort Wayne is adding additional leaf pick-up days because leaves are falling late this year.

The additional leaf pick-up day will be for south side neighborhoods and will be shortly after Dec. 5.

Fort Wayne’s southern neighborhoods had their second pick-up day last week, but many leaves were still on trees.

On Thursday, the city picked up 61.5 tons of leaves in northern neighborhoods.

Residents can visit city of Fort Wayne’s website for an updated schedule. The schedule will be updated daily at 4 p.m. Fort Wayne residents can have their leaves collected on their own schedule by calling 311 and scheduling a pick-up.
