FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): You're going to be able to make it to the voting booths quicker in this year's November elections.
The Allen County Council has approved spending over $460,000 to purchase electronic poll books as well as a service contract that goes with them.
At Thursday's council meeting, director of elections Beth Dlug told the council that 26 Indiana counties currently use the books, which helps streamline voter identification as well as removing the sometimes long, sometimes short lines based on where you live.
According to the Journal-Gazette, Dlug told the council it would also make the voting process more transparent.
