Auburn Alcoa Closing Down

An Auburn factory is shutting down, putting dozens of people out of work. By March of 2013, the Pittsburgh-based Alcoa will stop production at its Auburn plant, in an effort to streamline operations.  According to an article in The Journal Gazette, the facility makes parts for the automotive and defense industries and after numerous cutbacks, this final shutdown will put 43 people out of work.
