Barranda Declares Bid for Indiana 84th House Seat

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne attorney Michael Barranda has officially declared he's entering the race for Indiana’s 84th House seat.

He labels himself, as a pro-life Catholic and a conservative alternative to incumbent Bob Morris.

According to Barranda, it’s the first time there will be GOP challenge to the 84th seat in the primary since 2006. He says he’s already raised $20,000 for the campaign.

He’s been involved with the party in local leadership roles and has served with community groups, including on the boards of the Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce and St. Joseph Hospital.
