Bluffton Is Indiana’s First “Gigabit City”

BLUFFTON, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana's first Gigabit City is in our area.

Bluffton has been given the honor for how residents and businesses are connected to the internet. Internet speeds in Bluffton are up to 100 times faster than the usual residential broadband connection.

The reason for the speedy internet is because of a public-private partnership the city has with Adams-Wells Telecom TV to offer Gigabit capacity throughout the city.

Bluffton joins a list of U.S. cities with Gigabit City honors that includes Kansas City, Austin, and Provo, Utah.
