Body Found on Robinwood Drive, Identified

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Authorities have identified the body of a man found on Robinwood Drive Saturday afternoon, as 60-year-old Anthony Scott of Fort Wayne.

 

According to the Allen County Coroner, Scott’s cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest and his manner of death has been ruled as a homicide. Scott is the 8th homicide victim for Allen County in 2014.

 

His body was found Saturday afternoon, after two shootings on Fort Wayne’s southeast side. 

 

According to officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department, shots rang out around 1:43 p.m., Saturday near South Anthony Boulevard. While investigators were responding to the scene of the shooting, officers were called to the intersection of Robinwood and Oxford, on a report of a man lying in the street. That intersection is less than a mile from the shooting on South Anthony. 



Once officers arrived at the shooting on South Anthony, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in fair condition.



As officers arrived near the intersection of Robinwood and Oxford, they located Scott lying in the street unresponsive. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

 

In the meantime, there are no suspects at this time and according to police, it’s unknown if the two incidents are related.
