“City” Sculpture Near Downtown Dedicated

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The area near downtown Fort Wayne got a little brighter Monday night.

A sculpture of colored pipes at Superior Circle, simply titled “City,” was lit for the first time last night with a special ceremony complete with dance performers, art supporters, and Mayor Tom Henry. Local artist George Morrison says the piece offers an abstract view of a city skyline while also offering a changing perspective depending on where you are in the circle.

It's meant to be an entry point to improvements underway on the downtown area's west end.
