Committee Takes Up Proposal Limiting Cold Medication Purchases

An Indiana House committee is taking up a proposal for tighter limits on the quantities consumers may buy of cold medications often used to make methamphetamine. The bill approved last month by the Senate would allow the purchase of up to 61 grams a year of ephedrine and pseudoephedrine. The House criminal code committee has scheduled a public hearing today.
